Hello, you have arrived!
I guarantee you that won't be disappointed by the content of my site - I have worked long and hard to keep it stocked with new images, animations, backgrounds - everything 'trek-related' you could need! This site is probably the first  to focus on moderate and deliberate use of Animation to support features within its pages. I hope too, that it will also stimulate those failing star trek memories which capriciously erase from our minds over time.

Please enjoy my LCARS animations, but, I ask that you do use them. I do not mind screen captures, however if you publish them please just link them to my site in normal courtesy. Webmasters can as an option if they wish to do so, use any of the banners at the links page "Enjoy all the bleeps and blips of the familiar Star Trek computer interface, in the service of a shipload of media content for all the Trek shows".

April 2022

Koby Bennett, John Bullock, Ken Townsley, and myself have been working on creating a 100% accurate 100% reliable Tricorder Mk 6 machine by hand, with full working opening mechanism and full recreation of the original electronics LEDs but, powered by modern microprocessor. My animations to date we have available is 800+ unique, some as seen on Star Trek, plus many never seen before. I have then taken many LCARS images and converted them into full working animations, for this first release of the Mk 6 Tricorder, which will have a full slide pack of those originals supplied with the Tricorder. To ensure that we don’t get people doing things from websites or reproducing etc, all the animations have been coded at the meta level with identifying data together with our copyright notice. Some examples of these screens are shown here:

Help was achieved from Giles Aston who had the original artwork. Like many of you in the past who have helped me in identfying screen panels a very big thanks you. Divider

Jan 2018

This site has been using Flash for the last 15 years. Adobe who purchashed Flash from Macromedia is planning to end-of-life Flash. See https://theblog.adobe.com/adobe-flash-update/ Specifically, it will stop updating and distributing the Flash Player by the end of 2020 and encourage content creators to migrate to Adobe Animate, formerly known as Adobe Edge. At £1,813.66 for a full licence, or this software is now available only for rent, for a perpetual £30.34 monthly or yearly £238.42 fee is just shameful. Now, I will be 70 years old when all this takes place and the price that is extravagant and is well beyound my pension. This web-site has no alternative but to now close next year when my contract runs out with my host. May I thank you all who have supported my site over the last 15 years, as its been a very enjoyable experience with all the Star Trek fans.Divider

Dec 2017 A few moreAlien screens, and Padds completed.  I wish to  take this opportunity, in wishing all my guests, Good Tidings of Joy to You and Your Loved Ones this Holiday Season. A Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Please accept my apologies for taking a long in answering some of your emails, however, like most people, especially this time of year, I have other things going on in my life that are more important.

Oct - Nov 2017

I have updated all java pages again on this site ensuring that they all work as it should with some small adjustments here and there. All flows correctly within MS Explorer, Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Crome, Apple Safari and Opera. Thank you again all those of you who continue to email me on the continuing success of Adge's Star Trek LCARS Site. Updates to Alien Panels showing Vassion Script Panels from Enterprise series.

Aug - Sep 2017 Holidays over. and I have updated a few TNG screens and two DS9 PADD's. I have finally finished some 800 plus animations for a project Mark VI TNG Tricorder, which was fun over some 10 months of work.
Divider
Jul 2017 Much has happened over the weeks past, I have added a lot more focused imagery and fixed two links that had been broken. Important to me and some of my early school pals, I was asked to raise a little awareness of my earlier days as an infant living in Christchurch, Hants now Dorset at Holmsly South Airfield post war. This has been updated again as many people have contacted me, who have sent in pictures when they where also living there. This can be seen by following the above 'About Me' link. I hope you find it interesting.

Jun 2017 Many of you know, I am now well and truly retired and have had more time for my hobbies, and my interest and fascination with Star Trek is still as strong as it was since the sixties. I have continued over the last months to clean up the site's 1200+ pages, and although had only produced a small handful of new animations, I felt that it was well worth the effort. What is sad is some star trek sites now gone forever.
Divider
May 2017

I have produced a few new animations covering TNG Ream of Fear and some school LCARS which where also used in DS9, I have to say these were so yp get right, but, with a better focusing piece of software, the infromation was readable from screen caps. I hope that you like them.

Apr 2017

Again, many fans emailing me good quality Star Trek Screen Captures which help in producing some additional screens. Modern imaging software does now pick out the data clearer, expecially the series that have not been re-mastered. Although difficult detail is still in many cases hard to see on the screen captures, common sence is being used, as over the years many LCARS screens have been adapted for differant episodes, but, content remains similar. More TNG, DS9 and Enterprise series screens have been added. Divider

Mar 2017 I have at last got around to producing more DS9 Engineering Printed Circuitry Circuitry panels. Most of the images have been taken from The episode Shattered Mirror. They took a while to paint as they are very busy. However, the format of the circuitry, was used over and over again by just twisting the view to either horizontal or vertical. A few other DS9 screens have been completed and interestingly the main U.S.S. Defiant Screen From screen Captures from the episode The Search we see the registry number as NX-74204 at the top of this LCARS. On checking, oh dear, in the Deep Space Nine Manual again on page 128 in the Defiant section gives the registry as NX-74204. Presumably, something went wrong on this MSD which was possibly made before the studio model was finished with the correct registry number NX-74205, as shown in the bottom right corner of this LCARS. Thanks to many friends who sent me surperb screen captures.

Feb 2017 More DS9 Large LCARS as well as a few TNG screens and Padds. I have to say, I don't think that I have stopped, as more good quality captures still arrive by many fans. Thank you indeed.
Divider
Jan 2017 Happy New year to one and all. First a big thank you everyone for the support and encouragement that I have continued to receive over the last year from many of you. Especially the screen captures you have sent me and idea's that you have also requested. I think now that I am up to date in replying and updated all the material that fans wished to see. I will do my upmost to continue to add more.
Divider
Dec 2016 Well we are coming again to the end of yet another year. I think I have now finished most of the Padd and LCARS Screencaps many of you had sent into me, and again thank you all for your continuing support. Very Best wishes to You and Your Loved Ones this coming Holiday Season. A Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
Divider
Nov 2016 All of the re-organisation of the LCARS film and series screen pages have been completed. which was a challenge. Another big thank you for those of you that have again assisted in sending me more quality screen captures. It is marvelous to think that there is a number of fans who want more. All I can say, is that I will do my very best.
Divider
Oct 2016 I have as suggest by many of you to show the various Starfleet Padd's in a separate area against the Star Trek Films or Series. This has now been completed, and I must say, as I was re-arranging the pages, I had not realised how many Padd's I had drawn over the years. Many taken from photographs that I had taken at the Destination: Star Trek London 2014. However, I would also like to say, thank you to many of you who continually support my efforts and keep sending ideas or photo's. Divider
Sep 2016 50 years ago, on September 8, 1966, the very first episode of Star Trek, "The Man Trap", aired on NBC. We only had a black and white TV then. But, I was hooked and have been ever since. A few updates continuing adding more Padds. Clearly good quality screen captures has made in-roads in seeing the finer detail. I hope you like what I have produced. Divider
Aug 2016 Star Trek is now celebrating 50 years of Series and films and when I look back, wow where has that time gone. Thanks to Ken in Canada he has sent some very good quality screen captures of Padds, although mainly from Voyager episode, however the detail is extremely good. I have completed some 14 of them which can be seen on the Voyager animation page. I hope you like them, especially the 'Clear Padd' as I have seen many replica's that have been produced, however, sadly I have to say that they are wrongly drawn. Divider
Jul 2016 Many of the LCARS this moth have been drawn against better imaging techniques and one in particular is taken from STVI the Klingon Chart Scroll. Others which have not been seen on the web, have been added to DS9 screens and original TOS. Divider
Jun 2016 Thanks to Bob in Canada, he sent me some wonderful screen captures of TNG, Voyager, Cardasian (Voyager Dreadnault) and DS9 screens, The Cardassian Dreadnault missile screen is some twelve and a half minutes long, and quite canon when watched with its sound track. Divider
May 2016

Everything was going fine then catastrophe struck in April. My web site vannished as 123 Reg had on their system a functional breakdown and my website and many hundreds more were lost to hyperspace. With so many pages on my site and images, it was a damn good job that I had kept my backups right up to date. Unfortunately, it was like starting again, DNS values etc had to wait 24-48 hours to enable propagation. Oh well, I hope everyone can see my site okay now. Not a good month, although I had added a few new DS9 screens, I was notitified by a fan by email that my animations are again being sold on Ebay. Why oh why do these guys do this, as they are free to view to all. Such a shame that the odd guy wants to make a few bucks on the back of someone else's achievements. Sad really.

Apr 2016

Although March saw a freshing up of many of the LCARS screens, I have been busy catching up on many TNG, Voyager, Enterprise and DS9 screens, with sound tracks and many show the famous 'Okuda' in screen 'jokes'. Two more Klingon panels and a couple of TOS screens have also been completed. They all appear to work well, I hope you like them. Again thanks to many friends who sent in surperb screen captures.
Divider

Mar 2016 March is here already. I have now updated most of my TOS panels and all are as 'canon' as I can achieve. I will continue to update with more to come. More TNG and Klingon Panels and PADDs have been added. Starfleet Star Maps have appeared yet again, however a continuing 'subspace com network' design is spread over four separte designs, clearly they are reworked back panels, with stars and planets named after production staff as 'easter eggs'.
Divider
Feb 2016 Further to January's update, having recieved many screen shots from fans, I have over the last four weeks produced new TOS Screen panels and TNG LCARS panels which took a long time to put together. I hope you all like them as they are nearly as 'canon' as I can achieve. I will continue to update with more to come.

A Successful and happy New Year to everyone. I have over the last months received many, many requests to show Star Trek Alternate Reality computer screens and indeed many of you still send in fantastic screen captures. Clearly there is a new generation following Star Trek. TOS, TNG, DS9 and Voyager aslo have new screen panels showing The Galileo Shuttle, The Type 6 Shuttle, The Type 10 and The Type 9 Shuttle.

Live long and Prosper. I have finished what I consider the best and all these have just been uploaded.

Dec 2015

Star Trek Alternate Reality Screen Captures in which I mentioned last month has continued. Many seen in the original Film are slightly differant to the art work that is on the web being displayed. I wish to take this opportunity, in wishing all my guests and friends, Good Tidings of Joy to You and Your Loved Ones this Holiday Season. Have a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Divider

Nov 2015 Thanks to many fans emailing me good quality Star Trek Alternate Reality Screen Captures which help in producing some additional screen especially the 3d Jump sequence. Although difficult detail is hard to see on the screen captures, it is clear in many cases that the originals had a reappearance of what was used in other screens. They appear to work well, I hope you like them. Divider
Oct 2015 Productive in producing new Star Trek Alternate Reality Screens which I needed to study the film aspects quite a lot. They appear to work well, and I hope you like them. I also have revampt the menu to show Star Trek Alernate Reality instead of Star Trek XI. Modified all Alernate Realtity Screens to show this new title. Divider
Sep 2015 Good news after finishing testing all my screen savers in Win 10 they all work perfectly. I have produced a few new animations in TNG and DS9, the latter caused me some problems owing that its a LCARS Defiant Shield Screen, however, it is not only shown on the Defient it is also seen in the Runabout! Well I hope you like them. Divider
Aug 2015 I have made a couple of changes to make the site more Windows 10 compatible, although they are small changes, they appear to be working well. Why does MS want to do things differently to other OSs/browsers completely, drives me crazy. I take this opportunity, in wishing all my guests have a good summer holiday.

Jul 2015 I have been reworking the layout of all pages for better readability and HTML 4 compliance. I am certain that many of you will have noticed the difference. 4 Revised Alien (Vulcan) flashes have been completed.

Jun 2015 I have updated most if not all the Nemisis Animations showing more detail and they are more closely matching the originals shown on the HD screen. I hope that you all like them. Also, I have up dated my Christchurch, Hants now Dorset at Holmsly South Airfield post war page giving more details about my childhood. Back to being busy now.

Some of you may have noticed that my site disappeared off the face of the internet a while back. This was due to our web hosting firm, Netpivotal, going out of business.  This took us by surprise.  Not the fact they have ceased trading but the fact that they never gave me time to recover all my data.

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding more imagery and fixing any links that may have been broken.

January- April 2014 On the 21st of April comes the 10th anniversary of this site. It is hard to believe that I have been expanding this site for 10 years as the time has flown by.
May I take this opportunity to thank you the visitor for reading and commenting on my site in the Captain's Log.
Since the new year I have spent some three months carrying out many updates to LCARS panels and further Flash improvements throughout the site to make browsing fun.

October-December 2013

Well as many of you know, I am now well and truly retired and have more time for my hobbies, and my interest and fascination with Star Trek is still as strong as it was since the sixties. I have continued over the last few months to clean up the site, and although had only produced a small handful of new animations, I had to importantly ensure that the site conformed to the new Mozilla standards.

I have, which has slightly annoyed me, seen the prices of upgrades to the software that I use escalate to in some cases retailing at silly prices, and although I will continue to keep the website going, the financing on this side will have to be lower in my priorities. I'm sure many of you will understand this as I am now on a pension, the pennies will only stretch so far. If any of you can spare a few pennies, I can assure you all that it will be used in maintaining this site. Thank you in advance.

That aside, I wish to take this opportunity, in wishing all my guests, and many Star Trek friends Good Tidings of Joy to You and Your Loved Ones this Holiday Season. A Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to everyone.

July-September 2013 On a depressing note, I have had over a month difficulty with my web host NetPivotal, which had a MySQL issue on its server and regularly shut the site down or indeed failed to get it up and showing, they have now finished the reinstall of the server and I hope all is now well. However, throughout this period I had produced a further 4 Klingon Animation which many of you had requested. I hope you are pleased with their results. Do keep sending me those requests.

Although many additional animatons have been produced revolving around the Enterprise Series, at the end of May I have had to move my site to another more secure server due to some idiots in the USA attacking it. Thanks to many of you, for bringing this to my attention. Yet the sad times we live in.

March - April 2013 A very productive couple of months which has improved virtually all the Nemesis LCARS screens enhancing them to show the smaller details which also includes few new ones, especially the Sickbay monitor of Picard's DNA being cloned. Plus some six additional original TNG LCARS, especially one of the sickbay medical monitor, which was originally shown in Star Trek V which was the very first I think LCARS ever displayed.
Divider
February 2013 I have completed several new LCARS screens this month, which are from Enterprise E Bridge Engineering, Also some Vulcan Panels from Enterprise, two of them are the Medical posters. Again I hope you like them.

January 2013 Another very productive month which started the year well, with the following added to the collection from TNG The Child - Entity and Infectious Virus Plasma Plague, Brothers - Commander Data's Security Lock Out Code, Family - Atlantis Project which I had recieved many request to replicate, and one from Voyager - Killing Game Part 2 Holo Emitter Overload which is a countdown sequence. I have also tidied up some of the html functions to keep the pages crisp.

October 2012

I went to the largest Star Trek convention the UK on 20th October at Destination: Star Trek London. Quite expensive, but worth it IMO .I saw and obtained autographs of Patrick Stewart, Kate Mulgrew, Avery Brooks, Scott Bakula, and the legendary William Shatner. John de Lancie, Brent Spiner, Walter Koenig, Nana Visitor, Cirroc Lofton, Andy Robinson and Chase Masterson, and many more. Wow what at Day, and I must admit, it made me feel old! Aslo Dominic Keating, Connor Trinneer and Anthony Montgomery from Enterprise.

I have completed a few more Enterprise and TNG screens over this moth, I hope you have enjoyed them?

September 2012 Although many additional animatons have been produced revolving around the Enterprise Series, at the end of August I have had to move my site to another more secure server due to some idiots in the USA trying to hack into my site, plus additionaly producing tonnes of spam. Why do they do it? I'll leave you all to work that one out.

May - July 2012

A period I must admit that has seen many requests in my inbox for Enterprise NX-01 screens, which I have to say most over the last few months have been successfully completed. Also, because of the better screen captures I have managed to do, a few older Enterprise NX-01 screens have been updated to reflect the exposed information.

Please continue to email me with what you believe is missing in my LCARS screens, I will as always endeavour to get them completed.

Thank you all for you continuing support, I also hope you are enjoying your summer, the UK is wet one!

March-April 2012 It is certainly surprising what you end up finding on old CD saved disk's that have flash animation's that I had created some 3 years ago. Some I had completely forgotten about and now after updating them I have uploaded them to this site, these are mainly Enterprise Panels some very special in the way they are designed, the others are taken again from Enterprise but showing Klingon screens. A lot of work, but I'm pleased with the results.

January 2012 Happy New year to one and all. And thank you everyone for the support and encouragement that I have received over the last year. These are the final Engineering Monitor Screen Warp Core Ejection that scottie uses and another full length screen saver covering the U.S.S. Enterprise in full 3D PCAP Projection, which anyone can download onto their PC's. Please keep sending in your suggestions. Best regards to all.

September 2011.

I have completed seven new LCARS screens this month, which are from Voyager Friendship One Schematic,
DS9 Improbable Cause Odo's Office Cardassian Passenger lists, Voyager Course: Oblivion Warp Field Decohesion, Insurrection Enterprise E Bridge Engineering I Panel & Sensor Priorty Log, Voyager Think Tank Biogenic Scans, DS9 Runabout Tactical II Console, and from DS9 Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang Craps Table. I have already been notified by a few trekkers who follow my site and others and have already in a short time seen a few attempts at copying my lastest LCARS and MSD's only to see that certain individuals forget that the two Starships have notably different Registry Numbers. Well perhaps copying is the art of flattery.

July - August 2011.

Continued apologies, what with the builders and re-fitting it has taken some time. Hopefully, I am certain that business will shortly be back to normal in approx 4 weeks time. Again thank you all for all for your emails and continuing support.

First I should let everyone know that because of storm damage our house suffered some major flooding and naturally my focus has been diverted in sorting out the mess. Although I'm happy to continue exchanging emails, work in producing more animations has ceased for a while. Again thanks for all for your continuing support.

It has been nice to have so many emails from around the world over the past few months expressing sincere thanks in sharing LCARS that have sometimes have been difficult to see operating in all the series. I am also amazed at so many LCARS and Alien screens that still have to be re-produced. Thank you all for your continuing support.

It has been quite an achievement this month in meeting Cardassian Screens including a Wall panel from Odo's Security Office. Plus after many requests, I have at last just produced my first live Borg animation which was taken from Voyager Dark Frontier episode which appears to have been received well. Plenty more to come.

Best wishes from me, Adge Cutler, for the coming year. Thanks for all your support and comments in 2008 and let’s hope for even more exciting Star Trek events, especially the new ST Film this year which hopefully will show of more technology, and especially Pre-LCARS Screens.

At the end of last month I had received some requests by fan emails to re-produce TNG Episode The Last Outpost the 3D LCARS from Season 1,and the Voyager Episode Year of Hell Krenim Screens from Season 4. These are now viewable on this site, I was amazed how clearly these all came out. As we are now in the final month of the calendar year, I wish to take this opportunity, in wishing all my guests, Good Tidings of Joy to You and Your Loved Ones this Holiday Season. I have had a request to assist Darren Sexton Designer 'USS Grandeur-A Grandeur Project Director' in the making of a interactive LCARS interface using screen animations for the USS Grandeur-A Project, link here: http://www.starshipgrandeur.org/ This will also involve working with David Kleist "Deif" another fabulous LCARS illustrator. I have now finalised and updated all my previous animations with the last few covering Voyager LCARS which are updated to Flash MX. The beginning of this month I received a very wonderful surprise, it was an email from Bernd Schneider, author of http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org in presenting me with his prestigious EAE Award. My humble thanks passed on to Bernd in recognising my animation efforts on this site.

I have updated all java on this site ensuring that it all work's as it should with some small adjustments here and there. All flows correctly within MS Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari. However, 'Opera' has a small problem which I have logged with the Opera Technical team. It appears when the problem on java is Googled against Opera, and it appears thousand have difficulties currently. Thank you again all those of you who continue to email me on the continuing success of Adge's Star Trek LCARS Site.

It is certainly surprising what you end up finding on old CD saved disk's that have flash animation's that I had created some 5 years ago. Some I had completely forgotten about and now after updating them I have uploaded them to this site, these are mainly Insurrection Enterprise E Shuttle Screens, some very special in the way they are designed, the others are from Voyager. The Voyager section for LCARS now is in excess of 120 LCARS animations alone, with some 650+ animations now throughout the site. Have a Good summer everyone. Hackers manage to successfully break into my site and caused the site to go down. I'm sure these people hack for a living. That aside first many thanks to all the multitude of emails you the Star Trek fans who emailed on this difficulty. The recent updates have included much sought after difficult LCARS screens from Star Trek Insurrection and some early TNG Screens which shows a mixture of LCARS and Pre-LCARS. You could say a small piece of history.

I have completed six new DS9 LCARS screens which have been taken from seasons 6 and 7. I have already been notified by a few trekkers who follow my site and others and have already in a short time seen a few attempts at copying my Defiant and Valiant MSD's only to see that certain individuals forget that the two Starships have notably different Registry Numbers. Well perhaps copying is the art of flattery.

Those who are regular visitors will have noticed some quite dramatic changes to the site since the last update. For a start the site has been extensively overhauled from the initial start page and slightly re-designed. Every page on this site has over the last two months been looked at and reviewed, and that was well over 600 of them! I hope that this work will make using the site a much better experience for all of you.

A very unusual period to the start of the new year to say the least. A friend emailed me to say go to this forum and read.... The specific quote is 'I wouldnt put too much credit (excuse the pun) in adge's work ...it has been my experience that he is not nice to the original artists..'. Now this particular chap runs his own web site, and is a moderator on various other forums. The discussion is regarding work produced by a new LCARS artist was being debated on keeping his work credited to him. I have no axe to grind on that at all. A particular Equinox MSD was being discussed by other forum members, and my version which I produced in 2002 was brought up in the discussion. The individual who blurted out the statement above, I have known for some years, and what is the annoying part of this, he could have contacted me, but he didn't, and just assumed he was right. And to date has not answered any of my emails on why he stated this. The next time that we have a doubt about someone, let us not immediately jump to conclusions. It is well known fact that people often like to jump to conclusions, only to find they were wrong when the truth emerges.

As we go into the new year, I see that the shutdown of Startrek.com website is about to happen again. This site and all its forums members, think this is terrible, yet no one again seems to care at CBS. Startrek.com has the pulse on Star Trek. It is a haven of articles and one of the best sites around and will be missed.
To all my guests to my site, I thank you for your support last year, and hope this year will be just as good if not better. Last year's final update brings a handful of new Enterprise NX-01 Panels, TOS, TNG and Voyager Screens, Denobulan alien panels, and an interesting DS9 U.S. S. Valiant Master Systems Display. Enjoy.

I spent 4 days replacing all embed commands in all of the files in order to meet the new MS Explorer 7 Browser requirements, all music functions now have been incorporated into the site as java.  Why do people stick with MS Explorer, I suspect they are unaware of anything else, so this majority of web users that stick with IE I have had no alternative then update my site. What a lot of un-necessary work through in finding an alternative method. Netscape and Firefox are extremely easy to please.

It was a nice surprise to be informed on the 26 May 2007 that my site has now achieve in access of a quarter of a million hits. I have produced addition TOS Control Panel Screens as these are continually requested and now have been up loaded, covering The Final Frontier and Generations. The screen captures covering all the MSD's on this site has been over burdened with constant downloads, and to alleviate this, these are also available at http://www.fabuloussavers.com. Continuing LCARS are being worked on, please wait for the surprises.

Visitors will notice that I have produced some very difficult LCARS animations from Voyager and TNG series. This was only achievable by magnifying the original screen captures. The production of a Starfleet Certificate was successful using the one awarded to William T. Riker, and this now appears in my TNG section.
Divider
October 2006.
Interestingly over the last few months many of you have debated with me and concur that trying to define LCARS actual colour's is extremely difficult. What cause this subject to be raised again was the recent LCARS screens I have put together from TNG and Voyager. Those of you that have checked against your own copies on CD's or Video have concurred with me that there are many variations in colour which is not down to the set lighting or indeed PC graphic cards and desktop settings. A good example is the DNA panel which is shown continually in the Voyager series in sick bay, which was extracted from TNG series. So most of us have come to the conclusion that there are no standard colours in use.
Divider
September 2006.
I have continued to drawn and animated a few more unusual LCARS panels from TNG series, especially those that are shown in Engineering in response from emailed requests. These are interesting in that most are wide screens. Screen captures in assisting in drawing them for these particular designs were not too bad. Again I hope you like them.

August 2006.
I have drawn and animated some unusual LCARS from TNG series. These I believe are interesting in that these are not the normal LCARS design template usually drawn up by Michael Okuda, plus you will notice a different way of showing the numbers above the top LCARS bar, which are not cascading, but stay the same and fad in and out. Hope you like them.

Oh dear, the outcome of a court case that Microsoft lost where they were required to remove the code that seamlessly connects objects into web pages has caused me a nightmare. Of course the simplest solution for my visitors who don't want to "click here to activate to use this control" links is to switch to using a modern web browser. I have had to spent 9 evenings is a way of recoding the page using JavaScript to bypass this infuriating message, and that involved completely rewriting every page of my site with new revised script just so that the 12 year MS IE can avoid popping up a message "click here to activate to use this control". All other Modern browsers don't have a problem with it. So since most people won't bother making the change of the browser share for IE, which IMO is likely to drop below 50% - only those who don't know about real web browsers will stick with IE. What a lot of un-necessary work.

April 2006.
I have found 7 new Pre LCARS Enterprise screens that I had done three years ago, which have been updated using screen captures. It's certainly surprising what is saved to CD when you think all is lost. I now believe I am nearing that "complete" pictorial view in a classical sense, showing how various Pre LCARS and LCARS screens function. Please let me know if there are some screens that you wish to see.

March 2006.
I have been asked many times about LCARS that I have seen and some that are fictitious. Most that are produced are good, and I in the pass would be first to say I have fallen into that make believe LCARS trap as well.
Since going through all my Star Trek collection, and especially my prized CD collection, I can spend worthwhile time making accurate LCARS, plus adding where necessary up to 6-8 hours researching from my books and magazines to get correctness, however there are still gaps which some times must be filled with a little artist licence to make the animation appear to be true. Its a pity that we cannot get all LCARS talented people together in one place though. Time is a premium for this webmaster I have to say.

Happy New year to one and all. Thank you everyone for the support and encouragement that I have received over the last year. Well the site tipped the 100.000 visitor mark over December - wow.  On an change of note, I had a unusual email and a message in my guest book spot on Christmas day, reference graphics and materials that I had used on my site, the author said "that he had created". Updated the latest LCARS Screens from Generations, Nemesis, Voyager and Deep Space 9, a further 9 LCARS screens that I had started in 1999 (all that time ago) and these were on 3.5 floppies in a draw! Additionally, I have managed to get some super screen caps of some DS9 LCARS which show profiles that possibly haven't been seen easily unless you have a large plasma TV. Of course any comments about these changes would be most welcome. During August, my website remains on line, however, I am maintaining a low level of response to incoming messages and requests as its my holiday period. Five new Enterprise Computer displays finished after seven and a bit weeks work, 'Terra Prime Targeting Array', 'Vessel Scanning', 'Planetary Scan Analysis' Trajectory Scope From These are the Voyages' and 'NX-01 and NX-02 Divergence' . There is now a proper LCARS web counter done in Flash installed on the introduction page, thanks to my close friend Keith Scott. Also further Flash improvements throughout the site.

Yes, I will get around to producing a proper integral LCARS hit counter soon, I do agree with many of you who have emailed me stating that the MS Blog web counter is not in-keeping with this site. Watch this space we have some idea's up our sleeves.

The site has kicked off to a very good start with a continuing flurry of awards. My sincere thanks to all webmasters who have forwarded their award. In the meantime I have updated a few technical pages on Treknology, plus a couple of updates can be found in the Starship Database. I am at last relieved that I can now watch the Enterprise fourth season which will start in the UK beginning of March. As most will know, it was announced, on 2 February 2005, that Enterprise will be cancelled after the end of its fourth Season, I will though be finding more things to add to this multimedia site. On a further depressing note, I have been exhausting my bandwidth and had to shut the site down again for a few days. It appears that my site is a victim of its success and is very popular. I have now changes Hosts to NetPivotal and this should remedy the situation.

Happy New year to one and all. Thanks to everyone for the support and encouragement that I have received since I created Adge's Star Trek Media. I am slightly embarrassed that I have not updated anything since early December, Please be assured that I have been reading the very much appreciate (if not replying to) emails you have sent, and many of the additions that you have been suggesting will be forthcoming. What was very big surprise just before Christmas, was an email from a young man in the The Netherlands saying I should not use Java, Javascript, or Flash for virtual functions. Well, if he is a keen webmaster, then I recommend he starts using modern applications to assist in web building. Oh well, you cannot please everyone it seems.

This has been quite an eventful year for me. I just cannot believe that Adge's Star Trek Media web site has been so popular over the last eight months. Mind you, I have to wonder where all the time has gone and at my age, why can't anyone put the clock back? This month, I have now, with the use of XML script incorporated changing functions within the site to be dynamic in its updates. So no more fiddling around with useful updates. To give that festive look, I have added a few snow flakes to the introduction page. I take this opportunity, in wishing all my guests, Good Tidings of Joy to You and Your Loved Ones this Holiday Season. A Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

My final wish is: "Live long and Prosper"

A complete enhancement of my Guest book has been completed, which now opens in the centre iframe, and allows viewers and those that like to leave a message and perhaps read the "Captain's Log'' (the old Guest book left this site, and returned again). I think you will all agree it works extremely well, additionally it will give the stardate the message was logged. Various viewers have requested the ability to turn off the Mouse Trail and Sound as Options. This has now been incorporated into the site. Also, I have now incorporated the current date and time clock, which also reflects the current stardate which shows at the top of each page. Finally, carried out a complete overhaul of the Starships page, which has now been completed using flash. Again, my sincere thanks to Keith Scott in writing the code for me. Also added is a Warp Test page, which calculates warps factors, distances or times for any journey. Added a few more technical pages together with animations on equipment that not much is heard about. Phew, this has been one of the busiest months I have ever had working on this site, a total of some 180 hours for 1 month.

Incorporated a Stardate calculator on the Time Lines page, which I believe is a first to show accurately correct Stardates. I have now converted all my pages to CSS, and importantly at the same time reduced considerably the HTML file size for all of my site, in order that it can be accessed with any other Browser other that MS Explorer and importantly seen easily in any screen mode. In addition, it now gives users of a 56k modem the ability to load quickly. This is not I have say, all my own work, as I have relied on a good friend, Keith Scott who is a bit of a whiz kid when writing java code and CSS scripts, especially in enhancing the Time Lines data page. I hope you all like the new feel to this site.

Added a Star Trek links page based on what I believe to be the ultimate best multimedia sites on the web to date. These sites are in my opinion, maintained by their webmasters to high standard of excellence. I have also carried out whilst on holiday minor changes to this site, mostly relating to layout, menu and format. Now back to business in producing additional pages and further technical animations. I am also working to convert my pages to CSS, and importantly at the same time to reduce the HTML file size for the main part of my site, in order that it can be accessed with other Browsers other that MS Explorer and importantly seen easily in any screen mode. In addition, give users of a 56k modem the ability to load quickly

Managed to incorporate scripting techniques, and updating animation, and added fuller descriptions of Technical data. On a totally different subject -  Star Trek website awards. I see there are many Star Trek website awards to be applied for and indeed earned, but some of them are just given out in my view as a courtesy or just like a banner to attract more visitors. That I don't mind at all.  ALL  Awards that have been credited to this site are very much appreciated, and I like to think that the majority of the awarding sites have reflected the hard work put in by me, the webmaster. Like most other Star Trek webmasters, I do not mind linking other web sites to my site as long as they are of a high standard.  My only wish is that when any award is given, more objectiveness is given by the site webmaster to say why a particular award was given.

Uploaded details of www.lcars.org.uk to 10 major search engines. No doubt this will take 2 - 3 months to reflect on the search sites. Joined a few web rings, and within a few days, my site was achieving some 30-50 hits a day. Encouraging messages were also being left in my Guest Book.

Incorporated a Guest book which took a few days to work properly. It was getting busy and difficult.  My web HTML knowledge had to improve, so I concentrated on web techniques and took a couple of courses in 'webmaster techniques'. I decided towards the end of this month, to purchase and registered on 21 April 2004 the lcars.org.uk domain name as a web address, which also incorporated that it was a UK site.

By this date I had established a modest LCARS theme website complete with Flash.  My first attempt at a site was just a basic site uploaded to a resident ISP (NTL Home site), no frills, just Star Trek information  and a lots of pictures, but, importantly with the LCARS Theme. At this same time I had requested visitors to my site to leave constructive comments and suggestions.
