YOU ARE ACCESSING THE LCARS COMMAND INTERFACE -
TECHNICAL DATABANK
TCARS Touch Command Access and Retrieval System.
I have included this article as there are not many Star Trek fans aware of this computer system which interfaces by touch or simply moving a hand over them.
This touch system although favoured by Starfleet in 2250's but later turned down for the LCARS.
It all started when Henry Starling, a native of Los Angeles in 1996, steals Braxton's timeship Aeon and funds a corporate empire by exploiting the stolen 29th century technology,
he calls his company Chronowerx, which is wordplay for those in the know, and for his company logo he employs the 29th century Starfleet emblem!
Located on the upper left chest beneath the uniform's piping is the metallic silver communicator badge worn by the crew of the timeship Relativity.
This incarnation of the combadge features the linked diamond and arrowhead motif in the same position, though horizontally, as has been seen on all
Starfleet communicators since their introduction in the 24th century (first seen in [TNG: Season 1: Encounter At Farpoint] set in 2364).

The computer terminals can sense nearby movement and can be operated without touching them.

The Aeon is a Federation timeship from the 29th century of the size of a shuttlecraft; its class name is unknown.
